Description DEROSA fur clip with aqua and clear rhinestones in a gold plated sterling silver setting. The stylized leaf shape is enhanced by the way the rhinestones are set, and this was made in about 1940. It is signed "R DeRosa sterling" on the back and it is 2-1/3" by 1-1/2". We have also had this clip with medium blue rhinestones. There is a DEROSA 1943 Women's Wear Daily advertisement for two fur clips.
An advertisement said these could be worn two at a time, and it called them "Whimsies for the Lapels, designed to be worn in pairs". It says the rhinestones are "imported, simulated jewels". There were also matching earrings for these clips.
All items in excellent vintage condition unless otherwise noted.
