Description BOHEMIAN GARNET encrusted star brooch which is slightly domed and very beautiful, 1-3/4" by 1-3/4".  It has the older hinge and C-closure and the pin tip extends a bit beyond the brooch, also an older style.  Similar pieces are in the 1893 SF Myers Catalog HERE, in the 1899 Benjamin Allen Catalog HERE, and in the  1928 Otto Young Jewelry Catalogue, quite a span for garnet jewelry to be popular, and garnets are used today as well.  HERE.   View  View
