Description SHULTZ bakelite mah jong bangle with teal blue-green edges and characters of the game, 2-1/2" by 1-1/8" by 1-1/2" and 7-5/8" around the inside. Mah Jong is a wonderful game that was created in China during the 19th century and has now spread all over the world, and I learned to play it in college. Played with the tiles you see on this bangle, each has a different colorful character on one side, and it is usually played with four people. Shultz used 1940's vintage bakelite to make this unusual bangle, and it was made circa 1990.
