DescriptionMIRIAM HASKELL by Frank Hess butterfly brooch with a dark teal circle, brick red glass beads, and clear rhinestone florets all set in gold tone. Or are these pine needles and pine cones? It is 3-3/4" by 2-3/4". While most of this brooch is original, it came to us missing a few of the decorations on the wings. After years of looking for the right elements, we have now carefully restored this lovely old piece using only Hess glass pearls and rhinestone elements. A Frank Hess design for Miriam Haskell, it is unsigned as was typical for this era, circa 1940.
