Description EISENBERG large eagle brooch with brilliant clear rhinestones in a silver tone setting, a dramatic brooch for sure. It is the larger size at 4" by 2-5/8" and it is in wonderful vintage condition with only a touch of black missing from his beak and eye. It was made in 1951, as jpg of the the Maidenform bra advertisement HERE shows. In 1953, actress Thelma Ritter wore it as a necklace in her movie "Titanic", shown in this jpg HERE. This is a bird that really got around! Shown HERE just for fun is a photo of Ruth Kamke, designer of the eagle and many other wonderful Eisenberg pieces.
