Description DEROSA dogwood flower necklace with beautifully enameled yellow and deep red petals with green leaves accented with clear rhinestones. In a gold plated setting from the 1940s, it is 15" wearable length and the flower is 2-1/8" by 2-1/8".
It is signed on the back of the flower "R DeRosa" and on the clasp "sterling". DeRosa made such unusual pieces and unlike most well-known jewelry companies, they didn't make very many of any one design which makes them harder to find.
The Dogwood flower is the symbol of hope and rebirth, appropriate during the World War II years when it was made as well as for today.
All items in excellent vintage condition unless otherwise noted.
