BAKELITE red carved flowers and swirls oval brooch

Description BAKELITE red carved flowers and swirls oval brooch circa 1940, 3-1/3" by 1-1/4".  The black mark you see at the bottom is NOT a crack, but a mark of some kind that's barely there but will not seem to come off.
