ANTIQUE Victorian cut steel chatelaine and tools including a wonderful British Book of PrayerThe Book of Common Prayer is 2-1/3" by 2" and 5/8" thick with 638 pages and the metal holder for it is slightly larger. The red leather covered book is hallmarked on the front in very tiny letters on the silver initials. The cut steel aide memoir is 2" by 1-1/8" with three blank pages inside; and the round pin holder 1-1/3" and 1/4" thick with a velvet center holding three pins. Interestingly, the unusual key here is an Odell Key, used from 1792, when it was invented, until the early 1800s as access to the stairwells of tenement buildings in Edinburgh, Scotland! I had never seen one before, and this one is 2-1/3" by 1". You can read more about this interesting key HERE.
