SWAROVSKI 1996 Nordstrom Jeweler's Collection  Christmas tree brooch

Description SWAROVSKI 1996 Nordstrom Jeweler's Collection  Christmas tree brooch with brilliant clear navette and round crystal rhinestones in a hand polished gold plated setting, 2-1/2" by 1-1/3".  It is enameled in rich red on the back, a detail Swarovski did on some of their better pieces and a sign of high quality.

This piece is a favorite of many collectors and was originally sold at Nordstrom.  It was shown in three books: Mary Morrison's "Christmas Jewelry", page 70 where she said it sold in 1996;  in the Jill Gallina "Christmas Pins" 2nd Edition book; and the Nancy Trowbridge "Christmas Tree Pins" book.

NOTE: One book says this tree was sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue, but I am not sue that is true.  This piece can also be seen in the book, "Christmas Tree Pins" by Kathy Flood on page 270.  It is in excellent never worn condition.
