VICTORIAN
Celtic mourning bracelet reading "Cuibhnuig" which means
"Remember". The owner thinks this was made by Waterhouse, an
important Irish jewelry firm who made a lot of reproductions of the "Tara
Jewel" that were popular during the mid-19th century. Waterhouse made
jewelry around the 1860s-70s. The Tara jewel was an ancient Celtic jewel dug
up by a lady in her garden. She took it to Waterhouse, who it is thought
have then reproduced them. Queen Victoria owned some of the Victorian
reproductions and they were sold at the Crystal Palace Exhibition. For more
