The collecting of VINTAGE JEWELRY BOXES and display items are a
by-product of an interest in collecting costume jewelry. They
are hard to resist on their own, but particularly fun if you own
the jewelry they contained as well! Here are some that have come
our way over the past twenty-plus years, along with the dates
they were used.
HOBE hinged dark blue box for a set of jewelry, with cream colored satin lining
and marked in the top lid, "Hobe".

satin inside. In the lid is says only "Hobe".

EISENBERG Original gold tone large bow brooch with clear rhinestones in
original box, 3-5/8". Stones are graying somewhat, but it is still lovely
and very wearable.
EISENBERG ORIGINAL dress clip with clear rhinestones set in silver tone,
along with it’s original fitted box. The clip is 3-1/3" by 1-1/2", and the
box with "Eisenberg Original" inside is 4-1/8" by 3-1/3" by 1" deep. The
clip is circa 1940 and the stones are still brilliant. The box shows some
wear at the corners, but it is just the right thing in which to display this

EISENBERG sterling fur clip with clear rhinestones in a stylized floral
spray with marquis, round and unusual 5-sided stones, circa 1940, a nice
large 4-1/4" and in it’s original box.

2-3/4", in original Eisenberg & Sons blue velvet box, circa 1940.
EISENBERG hinged gray cardboard box with a cream fabric lining and
inside the lid it says "by Eisenberg". It is 4-1/3" by 3-7/8" and 1-1/4"
deep. I think this would have been used prior to the 1950’s
EISENBERG clear rhinestones swirl 3-1/2" by 2-1/4" fur clip with
original box, circa 1940.
EISENBERG gray cardboard hinged angled box for a brooch or clip, 3-1/2"
by 2-1/2" and the depth is from 1" down to 1/2". The edges all show wear,
but a fun vintage box nonetheless, circa 1940.
EISENBERG Original clear rhinestones bow brooch with original box,
marked on the back "Eisenberg Original" and the E in a circle, 3-1/8" by
EISENBERG Original sterling, clear rhinestones and glass pearls fur
clip, marked "Eisenberg Original sterling" on the back, c 1940s, 3" by 2".
Along with box, a magazine advertisement dates this clip and box to
EISENBERG green art glass cabochon brooch set in gold tone with a dangle
at the bottom, in original box circa 1950, 2-7/8" by 1-5/8".
rhinestones earrings with both marquis and round stones set in silver tone
and in the original box, circa 1970, clip backs 1".
EISENBERG ICE Classics box in gray cardboard with a lighter gray satin
lining and a little paper fold-out booklet and price tag, 4-1/4" by 3-5/8"
and 1" deep. This is from the 1990s when Eisenberg did brooches in the
design of some of their pieces from the 1930-1940’s and 1950’s, as seen in
the booklet enclosed..
EISENBERG ICE dangle earrings on original card with price tag, clear
rhinestone set in silver tone, jointed in two places, and a wonderful 2-1/4"
long, unsigned on the earrings. #E35716
HASKELL black and gold cardboard hat-box style jewelry box, 4-1/4" wide
and 3-1/4" tall. #H36781
HASKELL gift box circa 1950.
MIRIAM HASKELL "Ice Cream" earrings with artificial pearls and clear
rose montee set in gold tone filigree, for pierced ears, 1-1/3". Designed by
and purchased from Mille Petronzio circa 1990s. #H5900
HASKELL contemporary golden and silver tone glass bugle bead earrings,
1-5/8" with floral motif, created by Millie Petronzio in 2001. #H19541
JEWELS by TRIFARI blue and gold cardboard box, 5-1/8" by 3-5/8" and 1"
JEWELS by TRIFARI fabric pouch of blue file that snaps open to a fitted
cream satin interior. It is 4-3/4" by 3-1/4" when closed. It looks like it
was made to hold a brooch and clip back earrings..
SCHIAPARELLI box that says, "des Schiaparelli des Schiaparelli" on the
top. It is 4-3/4" by 3-3/4" and 1" deep. It has a faint hand written
note "pink pearl" on the side.
"Jewels by Albert Weiss" bracelet box in shocking pink velvet with a
cream lining, 8" long by 2-1/3" wide and 1" deep. It shows signs of
wear, but still a fun display piece.
CHRISTIAN DIOR gray velvet box with a window in the top and lined in
cream, 3-5/8" by 3-1/2" and 1-1/3" deep. Circa 1990s, it is a lovely way to
protect and display a brooch. With it is an cream velvet earrings tag,
2-1/4" by 2".
CHRISTIAN DIOR Bijoux gray velvet and cream satin hinged box, 3-1/2" by
3-1/4" by 1" deep. This box is from the 1990’s, and it fits into another
silver cardboard box to protect it. That outer box is 3-1/2" by 4" and
CHRISTIAN DIOR earrings card which also says "14k gold posts",
DANIEL SWAROVSKI Paris Paradise gray box for one of the Paradise series pieces,
lined with gray foam and usually including a gray suede pouch and a booklet. These came in different
sizes and shapes, depending on what was inside.

SWAROVSKI hinged white box with Swarovski logo and name, lined with
black velvet card inside. These came in slightly different sizes from 3" to
SWAROVSKI blue hinged box that contained some of the more expensive
CAROLEE 2006 Limited Edition pink flower brooch in original box, brooch
2-1/4" by 1-3/4". Included is the brooch, original box with pad and booklet.
The booklet reads, "Celebrate Nature with the new 2006 Limited Edition
Collection of pins, a precious compact mirror and precious jewelry box.
Only 1,000 of each will be produced".
CAROLEE pair of figural giraffe brooches in gold tone and black
enamel, come in the original box, one pin is 4-1/4" and one is 3-1/4". These
are in brand new never worn condition. These would be a great memento of an
African camera safari. View
Limited Edition aqua dragonfly brooch, boxed, 3-/4" by
3-1/4". According to the Carolee booklet with this brooch it was made in 2004.
It was one of four brooches, each of which they made only 1,000 pieces.
