     DEROSA rare signed fur clip with gold tone chain fringe and clear rhinestones suspended from a pair of blossom shapes with a leaf on topThe fringe hangs straight down when this is worn, suspended from a pair of blossom shapes with a leaf on top. It was made in the late 1930s and shimmers nicely when it moves. Some of the clear rhinestones are graying, commiserate with their age, but it is still quite lovely to wear and the clip mechanism works perfectly. This is signed "R DeRosa" on the back and, like so many pieces by DeRosa, it is beautifully designed and creative. It is interesting that I have seen a very similar clip with the "Reinad" signature on an applied metal plate on the back. It is not the only DeRosa piece we have had that looks very similar to one signed "Reinad", and Reinad was known for copying other jewelry makers.
