FEATURE: BETTINA von WALHOF JEWELRY

BETTINA von WALHOF began making her jewelry in about 1998. Her creations are whimsical, original and creative. Many of her pieces are tremblers with the moving parts on springs. Some are a standard size but some top 8 inches in size, making them "Jewelry for the Confident Woman"! In 2006 she began working with her daughter, and their pieces are marked "B+M von Walhof". Many of her pieces were made only in limited quantities and they can be difficult to find now.

The trembler monkey shown at right is 6" tall and a trembler! And the mermaid brooch has her own pet seahorse.

Bettina and Michelle von Walhof continued to market jewelry under the B&M von Walhof rand through about 2000 after which, as far as I know, no more was made. Her figurals and holiday trees were some of her most fun pieces.

FEATURE: EISENBERG
Eisenberg has made jewelry for over eight decades from the 1930s to the present. They did not design their own jewelry in-house. Starting in 1940 it was designed by Ruth Kamke who worked for the manufacturer Fallon and Kappel in New York (later she also designed for Panetta for about 15 years). F&K had a mutually exclusive arrangement in which Eisenberg was made only by F&K, and F&K only made Eisenberg. That all changed in the mid-1970s when F&K suddenly closed.  After that it is difficult to determine who designed what.

Eisenberg marks include "EISENBERG" in all capital block letters, 1945-1958; "Eisenberg Originals" 1935-1945; "Eisenberg Sterling" 1943-1948; and "Eisenberg Ice", 1970-present. Some early Eisenberg pieces are unsigned, and there was also a period in the late 1970s to the 1990s when the company did not mark all of their jewelry.

If you would enjoy adding EISENBERG to your own collection you can purchase by clicking here Morning Glory Jewelry.
