RUTH KAMKE designed very rare flower fur clip along with the design drawing

Price: $1,498.00
Description RUTH KAMKE designed very rare flower fur clip with three dazzling clear pave rhinestone flowers that each have red collet set rhinestone stamen, set so they move back and forth, and with green pearlized enameled leaves.  It is a nice large size at 4-1/4" by 4-1/4".  When I say "rare", I have been told that Ruth said there were only one or two of these ever made! I have seen one other, but two of the leaves on that one were missing.  This was designed in the early 1940s.  Ruth did this HAND DRAWN sketch for the fur clip after the brooch was made, and it will come with this clip, too.

Designed by Ruth Kamke for the jewelry company Fallon and Kappel, circa 1940, this clip came to me along with Ruth's sketch of it and a photo of Kamke with her jewelry spread out on a table in front of her.  The photo is not included in thsi price.  She is shown in the  PHOTO here along with many of the Eisenberg pieces she also designed.  She etched her own signature on the back of this clip.

FALLON and KAPPEL or F&K was a manufacturing company in New York that made jewelry for other companies like Eisenberg and Hattie Carnegie for example.  RUTH KAMKE created many designs for them, especially Eisenberg pieces, and many of their most iconic were designed by her during the 1930s and 1940s, especially her famous figurals.   View   View   View   View  View  View  drawing
