NATIVE AMERICAN Navajo sterling silver and turquoise sand cast bracelet with three turquoises, winged design
Price: $798.00
DescriptionNATIVE AMERICAN Navajo sterling silver and turquoise sand cast bracelet with three turquoises in the front in a winged design. This was probably made in the 1940-1950s and the turquoise is from the Kingman mine. It is 6-1/3" around the inside including the 1" back opening and 1-1/8" at the most wide, and it weighs 2.2 ounces.
It is interesting that the Native Americans learned the sand cast process, in which molten silver was poured into a sand stone cast or mold, from the Spanish and Mexicans around 1870. View View View Product #43083
