DescriptionMIRIAM HASKELL jewelry designed by Frank Hess is shown in this Larry Austin original advertising art, hand painted on illustration board. It shows Hess' marvelous beaded and colorful jewelry with tiny flowers. The lady wears a pink dress and hat and looks so very stylish. The foil "Miriam Haskell" tag is still on the front and marked in pencil on the back is "342" and the date 3/5/37". This is an 8" by 10" original, not a copy.
The bracelet illustrated here would have looked something like this HASKELL coil. Her tailored suit was a very typical look for around this time when fabric was rationed. And if you think about after the war, the 1950s dresses blossomed out using lots of fabric in the popular full skirts! Fashion is certainly ever changing. Product #37378
