DescriptionMIRIAM HASKELL jewelry designed by Frank Hess is illustrated in this original Larry Austin advertisement hand painted on illustration board. It shows a wooden beads and petals necklace and bracelet on an elegant woman wearing a burgundy dress and turban. It is marked on the back "1113A" and it is 8" by 10". This is an early 1940s original advertisement and not a copy.
An interesting side note is that turbans were very popular in the 1940s due to some of the war time shortages, like bobby pins for example, and fabric rationing. Hollywood made them even more desirable when they showed so many of the movie stars of the era wearing them. Product #37725
