LOS CASTILLO Mexico parure, a sterling silver and blue glass cabochons necklace, bracelet, ring and earrings

LOS CASTILLO Mexico parure, a sterling silver and blue glass cabochons necklace, bracelet, ring and earrings, marked on bracelet and necklace only "Los Castillo Taxco, Sterling Made in Mexico" and the number 468, circa 1950, mid-century modern. NOTE that one of the blue cabochons on the bracelet, while present, has a chip on one side.

The handmade sterling silver work is so wonderful in this set, and the flexibility of the bracelet makes it so easy to wear! These were hand made by the Los Castillo brothers who were trained in the famous Spratling Shop, and they have the highest standards of both design and workmanship.

The necklace is 14-1/2" with a 5" extender by 5/8" wide, bracelet 7" by 2", earrings 1", ring size 7.

This style can be seen in "Mexican Silver, 20th Century Hand wrought Jewelry and Metal Work", by Morrill & Berk page 88. View View View View
