GEORG JENSEN sterling silver bracelet titled "Sycamore Pods", 1953GEORG JENSEN sterling silver bracelet titled in some places "Dancing Ladies" and in other places "Sycamore Pods". The pods look different depending on which way they are flipped on your wrist, making it very interesting to wear and a big favorite of mine. It has the marks for Jensen on the back, designed in about 1953 by Bent Gabrielson for Jensen, and it is a discontinued design. The bracelet measures 7 3/4" long, 15/16" wide, and it weighs 55.9 grams. It is signed "Georg Jensen" in a dotted oval, "Sterling Denmark 115" and the logo for Brent Gabrielsen. GEORG JENSEN (1866–1935) was a Danish silversmith, sculptor and designer who founded his own silversmithy in Copenhagen in 1904. Inspired strongly by nature, his distinctive silver jewelry is known for sculptural forms, organic motifs and beautifully textured surfaces. Jensen became one of the most influential figures in Scandinavian design, and his firm continued working with important designers after his death.
