Description DEROSA set of two aqua enameled starfish brooches in textured and gold plated sterling silver, each about 1-7/8" by 1-7/8".  Signed "R DeRosa sterling" on the back, they were made in the late 1940s.  As you can see in the magnified photo, some of the aqua enamel is missing here and there on one of them, but it is visible only under close examination.

The DeRosa starfish was described in a 1946 edition of "Women's Wear Daily".  These are great worn together on a jacket lapel or shirt.
