VICTORIAN 9 ct In Memory Of brooch diamond, agate, pearls

VICTORIAN 9 ct yellow gold "In Memory Of" bar brooch with diamond chips, banded agate and seed pearls, safety chain and box, pin 1-1/3". This is an unusual barbell shape with tiny diamond chip stars centered on each end of banded agate. It also has a very small compartment on the back for a lock of hair, which is no longer there.  This would have been given to family and special friends after a death, a momento mori or mourning piece.
