VICTORIAN 14 karat micromosaic Roman scenic brooch

VICTORIAN 14 karat micromosaic Roman scenic brooch set in 14k yellow gold with a c-catch, circa 1870, 1-1/2" by 1-1/4". This is in excellent condition with not a single piece missing, almost as though it was never worn. In addition the mosaic work is masterful so be sure to look at the subtle coloring, shading and details. This may have come back to England after a lady's Grand Tour of Europe, a wonderful souvenir of Italy. The building is of course the Pantheon in Rome, a temple to the ancient gods of Rome.
