VICTORIAN 1800s antique cut steel lady's sewing chatelaine

Description VICTORIAN antique 1800s cut steel sewing chatelaine with a 2-5/8" top and 7-1/2" to 10" long chains, a 1-1/2" pin cushion with 2 hand-made pins, 2-1/2" pencil, 1-3/4" whistle, 1-5/8" wax, and 1-1/8" glove hook/corkscrew for getting corks out of perfume bottles, 7/8" measuring tape that winds in as it should and a notebook with 2" by 1-1/3" celluloid pages, cut steel brads 10-15 facets.  Cut steel chatelaines are rare, and some can be seen in Clifford's "Cut-Steel & Berlin Iron Work Jewellery" on page 17, pictures plate 4.  It is interesting to see how housewives carried their tools 200 years ago!     View   View   View   View   View   View   View   View   View
