PORTRAIT hand painted portrait on ivory, lady with jewelry and long curls in ormolu style oval frame, 3" by 4-1/2". The detail of her hair and jewelry is absolutely professional and magnificent, and she wears pearl necklace and earrings and a garnet shoulder ornament. PORTRAIT hand painted portrait on ivory, lady in empire dress, marked on the back "Blessington, 78/281" and on the inside back "The Countess of Blessington, 182", ormolu style oval frame, 2-7/8" by 4-1/2". Artist signed at the front bottom left, but the only legible part is the first and last letter, "A" and "D". There is a fold out stand on the back for display and a loop for hanging.
