It was 1966... the Mamas and the Papas were singing "You Were On My Mind"; Lyndon Johnson was President,; Billie Jean King won at Wimbledon; the first "Star Trek" TV show was broadcast; Truman Capote wrote "In Cold Blood"; "Alfie" was on at the movies;  and women were on the new "Pill".

Fashions varied from "Mad" to "Mod." It would be one more year before the first Super Bowl (1967 Greenbay ,NFL, and Kansas City, AFL); Frank Sinatra sang "Strangers in the Night"; while we were fighting and protesting Vietnam, nearly a million young students from all parts of China protested in Tien An Men Square; Walt Disney died, ending an era; and everyone was humming the theme to "Born Free.
