HASKELL Hess aqua glass beads lariat necklace, 1940

HASKELL Hess early unsigned aqua glass beads lariat necklace with clear rhinestone leaf-shaped dress clip ends, total length 21" and the clips are each 1-3/4". Circa 1940. In the early days of Haskell jewelry, when Frank Hess was the head designer, Miriam Haskell put no identifying marks on their jewelry. As a mater of fact, it was not marked at all until about 1947. Today the early unsigned pieces are recognized from old advertisements and by their wonderful detailing, hand work and design. The ad which shows a similar lariat is HERE. To read more about Haskell, see these features: Haskell Hess Unsigned Jewelry, Miriam Haskell Jewelry, our article in Jewel Chat and the feature on Haskell Art Work & Ads.
